Named the perfect place in Europe to celebrate Christmas under the warm summer sun

The south of Spain does not know frosts, and in winter there is a fairly comfortable temperature.

If you’re tired of the cold winter Christmas holidays and want a little summer during the festive feast, why not diversify this time of year with a trip to where the December temperature is a cozy 18 degrees Celsius. The Spanish city of Malaga on the Costa de Sol even has a Christmas market where you can enjoy the festive spirit, writes Express.

Malaga’s Christmas Market is open from 24 November to 5 January and offers a variety of mouth-watering treats to try, festive lights and children’s toys, and pageant processions to admire. While strolling through the streets of the Paseo del Parque market, you can sample traditional sweets such as shortbread, marzipan, nougat and borrachuelos (wine-flavored fried pastries).

The annual light show at Malaga’s Botanic Garden is a sight to behold. Founded in 1855 by the Marquises of Casa Loring as a place of entertainment for the bourgeoisie, these stunning gardens now contain more than 50,000 plants and are one of the few subtropical gardens in Europe.

Despite the nominally winter season, the air temperature in Malaga remains comfortable: at about 17-18 degrees during the day, and the sea temperature is slightly lower – about 16 degrees.
Although this will not be enough for a traditional beach holiday, but for exploring other tourist attractions in the region, this is just the thing.
